In celebration of Teen Read Week, the Library will be hosting a monster-themed after hours event for teens aged 13-18. Prizes and refreshments will be provided. Come dressed in a monster costume and you may win a prize. Various awards will be giving for creativity and originality. Also, we encourage you to bring a flashlight.
Future Scientists, Engineers & Mathematicians: High School Juniors and Seniors are needed to assist at our Mad Scientist Mondays next September and October at the Bloomfield Township Public Library. You will be asked to demonstrate our new science kits to other students. Community service credit is available. Please fill out the Volunteer Application available at the Library’s Welcome Desk.
The Library has just added over 70 titles in the Orca Soundings Series. Sometimes called High / Low books, these titles have high interest for teens who might be reading at a lower grade level. They are focused on helping to improve reading skills by providing compelling, fast-paced stories that will appeal to teen readers. These titles are shelved in the Teen Fiction section under the author's last name.
