Due to popular demand and available space, program registration is only open to Bloomfield Township residents until one week before the program date. Nonresidents are welcome to sign up during the week before the program date, unless otherwise noted.  Programs not requiring registration are open to all. Programs may be subject to change or cancellation and may fill quickly.

Computer classes held in the Computer Lab are only open to Bloomfield Township residents.  Only pre-registered patrons may attend. 

Register online at www.btpl.org by clicking on "Library Events", by calling the Library at (248) 642-5800 or in person at the Adult Services Desk.  Please have your library card number ready in order to register.

Use A Meeting Room

 Bloomfield Township Public Library’s meeting rooms are available for reservation by Bloomfield Township taxpayers - including residents, property owners, and employees of Township organizations and businesses – with a current Library card in good standing. Meeting room use is for civic, cultural, educational or enrichment type programs or events. Commercial enterprises of any type, soliciting, lobbying, fundraising, auctions or sales are not permitted. Meetings held at the Library are scheduled only during regular Library hours and are open to the public.

If you have a little time to spare and would like to help the Library,  please call the Library Volunteer Coordinator or inquire at the Library's Welcome Desk.  Potential volunteers are asked to complete a volunteer application form.  Applications may be requested in the Library at the Welcome Desk or here:

Use Technology at the Library

The public computers allow patrons to access the Internet, use a number of Microsoft Office programs, burn CDs, watch DVDs, listen to music, scan and edit photos, and edit movies.

The computer lab offers patrons a space to enjoy the library's various computer classes. Current classes include introductory courses to Email, Word, Excel and Scanning/Photo-editing. The lab provides patrons with all the equipment they need for any class and a quiet environment in which to learn.

Wireless printing is now available all throughout the library! You can easily connect to our printing system from your portable computer and use any of the payment options normally available when printing from Library computers.   Click here to learn more.
