Overdue Notices and Fees

Overdue Fees

When you borrow from the Library, you will receive a list of the items you have borrowed showing the date these are due back to the Library.  If you keep Library items beyond the due date, a late fee will be accessed.  Please click here to see our current Fines and Fees Schedule. [1]

Patrons with $15 or more in late fees or fines on their Library account will not be able to borrow any more items until these fees or fines are paid.

If Library items are returned damaged or missing pieces, you will be charged to replace the item plus a small processing fee.

By email

To be notified by email you will receive Courtesy notificiations (four days prior to due date), hold notifications, and overdue notifications.  All email notifications come via circadm@catalog.btpl.org; please make sure this address is in your email address book if you want to receive email notifications.

Courtesy notices, received or not received, do not negate the responsibility of the patron for all fines.  Failure to receive courtesy / overdue notices does not release the patron from paying the fines.
