Library Closings

The Library will be closed Monday, November 12 for Veterans Day and as an unpaid staff furlough day. The Library will reopen Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at 9:30am.  As always, our virtual library is open 24/7 at www.btpl.org.

Be sure to check out the  Second Saturday Super Sales in the lower level.  These sales are offered each month from 9:30am - 3:30pm.  The first hour is open to Friends members only.  Memberships are very affordable and available at the door on the day of the sale. 

Future sale dates are:

November 10 and 11 - the BIG book sale returns!  Sunday is bag day!

Celebrate Luciano Pavarotti's Birthday!

Luciano Pavarotti would have turned age 77 on October 12!  You can still celebrate his life and his music by checking out some great classics from the Library.  Pavarotti was the most popular tenor of his time.   He was known for his perfect tone, especially his higher ranges.  Widely considered to be the best bel canto singer of the 20th century, he died in Modena, Italy September 6, 2007.

Grandkids coming to visit?

 If your grandchildren are going to be visiting soon, why not ask them to bring the XBox 360, WII or Playstation along with with them?  The Library has an exceptional collection of child and adult games to borrow, and all are free!  According to a 2009 article in The Herald  , video games "are being held up as the catalyst for family bonding and a more healthy lifestyle."  This might be the time to break out and experience something new!  Let your grandkids show you the way!

Community Attraction!

Charles L. Bowers School Farm, located at 1219 E. Square Lake Road, will be hosting The Haunted Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch again this year.  You won't want to miss this incredible community attraction!
