Residents and employees of Bloomfield Township have special privileges, which require the use of a Bloomfield Township library card. These include the following:

- Using your library card to load money for the Library copy machines

- Placing MelCat and interlibrary loan requests
- Checking out Cranbrook passes at the Circulation desk
- Reserving meeting rooms
- Participating in the MI Big Green Gym Program
- Access to the MAP (Museum Adventure Pass) program
- Unlimited access to computers
