We are upgrading our online catalog to better serve you. The library catalog will be unavailable on Thursday, September 16th on which day you will be unable to see your library record or renew materials, place holds, register for programs or access databases remotely outside the library. Online booking for meeting rooms also will not available. We are working to complete the upgrade as soon as possible and expect to have the catalog back the evening of Thursday, September 16th. We apologize for the inconvenience but look forward to an improved catalog.

We’re dream cruisin’ at BTPL in August – with a model Dream Cruise of our own. Stop by and see a wonderful exhibit of vintage and cruisin’ era model cars on display at the Library during the month of August. This exhibit is on loan from the Detroit Historical Museum and includes a 1910 Ford Model T, a 1951 American Motors Studebaker, a 1955 Chevrolet Corvette and a 1968 Oldsmobile Toronado, to name just a few of the model cars on display. Reminisce about cruising down Woodward Avenue in the 1950’s and 1960’s, the nation’s first concrete pavement highway.
Special thanks to the Friends of the Bloomfield Township Public Library and the Detroit Historical Museum for making this exhibit possible.
Head out to the highway, with Mark Szetela from Vettestorations. Mark will discuss his experiences restoring America's favorite muscle car, the Corvette on Wednesday, July 21 at 7pm. No registration is required. We hope to see you then!
