Henry and Friends: Ford and the Company He Kept
Join us on Wednesday, October 2 at 7p.m., as Ford historian Steven C. Stanford shares an evening of stories and gossip about the real Henry Ford as his friends and co-workers saw him, from Thomas Edison to Harry Bennett. “His revolutionary Model T was a pebble tossed into a still pond, whose ever-expanding ripples still wash around us today.” Those ripples reached the Bloomfield area years ago. Sponsored jointly by the Bloomfield Historical Society and Bloomfield Township Public Library. Presented in cooperation with the Henry Ford as part of the celebration of Henry Ford’s 150th birthday. Sign & Play Starting Friday, October 4 at 10a.m., Signing Time Academy instructor, Sara Ghioto, will teach children, ages birth to 3 years, and their caregiver, sign language through songs, stories, and play activities. Caregivers will also learn how to fingerspell their child's name, promoting early literacy. This series of signing classes is ASL-based. This will be an 8-week session. Registration begins September 13.
Pumpkin Painting Drop-in Monday, October 28 at 6:30p.m., with your own plain pumpkin and leave with a painted masterpiece. You supply the pumpkin, we supply the paint and dazzle. Fun for the whole family.

The Library continues to offer a variety of hands-on computer classes, such as EBooks: Free from the Library and Introduction to Microsoft Powerpoint and Introduction to Microsoft Word.
