The Library will be closed Monday, November 12 for Veterans Day and as a staff unpaid furlough day. The Library will reopen on Tuesday, November 13 at 9:30a.m.
The Library will close at 5:30p.m. on Wednesday, November 21 and will remain closed on Thursday, November 22 for the Thanksgiving holiday. The Library will reopen Friday, November 23 at 9:30a.m.

The Friends of Bloomfield Township Public Library will be holding their BIG Book Sale on Saturday, November 10 and Sunday, November 11. Sale hours are 9:30am – 4:30pm on Saturday and 12noon –4:30pm on Sunday. The first hour on Saturday is for Friends members only. Sunday sale hours, which features the popular bag sale, will be open to everyone. Come find a treasured book or favorite movie!
Saturday, December 8 is the next Second Saturday Super Sale.
Not a Friends member? Memberships are very affordable and available at the door on the day of the sale. Or, pick up a membership form at the Welcome Desk the next time you visit the Bloomfield Township Public Library.

MUSIC AT THE LIBRARY
Get your groove on Friday, November 9 at 7:30p.m., when the Henry Ford Big Band comes to play. Created in 1983, the Henry Ford Big Band performs in Carnegie Hall, Mardi Gras in New Orleans, Jazz at Montreux, and other international jazz festivals, as well as being a mainstay of the Detroit Jazz Festival. And now it’s coming to the Bloomfield Township Public Library! No registration is required.

SO YOU WANT TO BE PRESIDENT?
Monday, November 5 at 6:30p.m., readers, in grades 2 and 3, along with a favorite adult, can engage in a lively discussion on the eve of the national elections. Read and discuss, “So You Want to be President?” by Judith St. George. Registration begins October 15.
2nd Annual STUFFED ANIMAL SLEEPOVER
Bring your most adventurous stuffed animal to the Library for a slumber party with other animals. Come back the following morning to pick up your animal, hear all about their fun adventures, and enjoy a story while munching on treats. Drop off your stuffed friend between 1 and 5p.m. on Friday, November 9. Pick up your pal at the special story time at 11a.m. on Saturday, November 10. Can’t make it to the story time? Stop by anytime before 5p.m. that day to pick up your friend. Registration begins on October 17.

Classes being offered include Introduction to Computers and Going Online & Introduction to Email. The Library continues to offer a variety of hands-on computer classes, such as Introduction to Social Networking and Introduction to Excel.
