In March, our 50th Anniversary celebration continues with more nostalgia and great events that celebrate reading.
March is National Reading Month, and the Bloomfield Township Public Library is celebrating the written word in all it's varied forms for all ages.

On Wednesday, March 5 at 10 a.m., Shoshanna Resnikoff presents an in-depth look at the Cranbrook Academy of Art in the postwar period, exploring the contributions made by CAA graduates to Detroit’s automotive industry that helped to shape the look and feel of the modern car.
Speak like a Pirate day with Mango Language
Celebrate all things pirate on Saturday, March 15 from 1 to 5 p.m., with the people from Mango Languages – where you can learn to speak over 50 different languages, from Armenian to Urdu, as well as Pirate. If you’ve ever wanted to learn a new language, join us.

Present Day Predators and Prey: Maintaining the Balance
The world can be a brutal place – eat or be eaten. In order to deal with this constant dilemma hunters and the hunted have evolved different strategies to give themselves a fighting chance. Join the University of Michigan, Museum of Natural History on Thursday, March 20 at 6:30 p.m., to go on a journey through time as we explore the strategies that predators and prey have used to try to keep a leg up on the competition. Registration begins February 25. For ages 6-11 along with their grown-ups.
