On Becoming a Writer with Author Thrity Umrigar

Join us for an evening with acclaimed author and journalist Thrity Umrigar who will talk about what she has learned on her journey to becoming a bestselling author. SIGN AND PLAY
Beginning Monday, April 15 at 10a.m., Signing Time Academy instructor, Sara Ghioto, will teach children, ages birth to 3 years, and their caregiver, sign language through songs, stories, and play activities. Caregivers will also learn how to fingerspell their child’s name, promoting early literacy. This ASL-based series will go through Monday, May 6. Registration begins March 25
AN EVENING WITH FELICITY
Read their stories and discover the worlds of American Girls. This month is Felicity. Join us on Thursday, April 18 at 6:30p.m., as we read and discuss “Felicity Learns a Lesson” by Valerie Tripp. Discuss her life and experience what it meant to be an American girl of times gone by. For ages 7–12. Registration begins March 21. Copies of the books will be available at the Youth Services desk.

The Library continues to offer a variety of hands-on computer classes, such as EBooks: Free from the Library and Introduction to Microsoft Excel and Introduction to Microsoft Word.
