Downton Abbey Fans!

Downton Abbey has ended for their third season and we are all trying to figure out how the fill that Downton Gap!  There are several new books that will help with your insatiable thirst for Downton!

Summerset Abbey by T. J. Brown - Three young women living in an opulant mansion just outside of London are swept away to Summerset Abbey following the death of their father. 

The Walnut Tree by Charles Todd - Lady Elspeth Douglas ignores her guardians objections, and trains to be a nurse during World War I.  She is torn between her finace and a new love.

The Last Summer by Judith Kinghorn - Clarissa Granville is on the cusp of turning 17.  Her world is upended when Tom Cuthbert returns from school to stay with his mother, the housekeeper.

Benedict Hall by Cate Campbell - Set in 1920's Seattle, this book will be published in June 2013!

The Ambassador's Daughter by Pam Jenoff - Margot Rosenthal is dragged to a conference in Paris by her diplomat father.  When she accepts a job with Georg, an attractive musician, she begins to question her previous engagement.

 Rutherford Park by Elizabeth Cooke - The Cavendish family, and the stately halls of Rutherford Park, are at the center of Cooke's upcoming release in July 2013.

Habits of the House by Fay Weldon - Lord Robert, Earl of Dilberne, has made some risky bets in the stock market, and is on the brink of financial ruin.  Can he hook his son up with a wealthy American woman to save the estate?  Look for the sequel, Long Live the King, in May 2013.

The Passing Bells by Philip Rock - The Grenvilles are just like any other titled British family, until the oncoming storm of Worl War I throws their cherished world into complete turmoil, above and below stairs.  This is a reissue of a 1978 novel.  Look for this in the catalog soon!

While We Were Watching Downton Abbey by Wendy Wax - The concierge of an apartment building in Atlanta invites a few of his fellow residents to Sunday showings of Downton Abbey.  With the passing of each episode the group bonds, forming friendships that will get them through the most difficult times of their lives - crises that parallel the twists and turns in Downton.
