The statewide library borrowing system, InMich, will soon become MeLCat. MeLCat goes live at noon on Monday Jan. 10, 2005
!If you can't find an item in BTPL's catalog, try searching the MeLCat catalog for the item. If
you find items you'd like in MeLCat, you can request that they be shipped to BTPL for FREE. The MeLCat catalog is an interlibrary loan program comprised of several Michigan
libraries -- including Southfield and West Bloomfield -- that have merged their holdings into a single online database.
Searching the MeLCat database from BTPL's online catalog is easy. Simply click the "Search MeLCat" button,
and when you find an item of interest, click "Request this item" to have it sent to BTPL for you to check out.
Delivery averages three to five business days. The loan period for all MeLCat items is 3 weeks, with two one-week renewals. See the Interlibrary loan/MeLCat FAQ for more information. Other MeLCat libraries include:
