The Friends of the Bloomfield Township Public Library is a group of people who believe that any community is a better place to live if it has a first-rate library. The Friends have an active role in supporting and promoting the Bloomfield Township Public Library. This avid and enthusiastic group of volunteers dedicates their time, talent and resources to raising funds to support the Library beyond its operating budget. A 501(c)3 organization, the Friends raise funds through their monthly Super Second Saturday Sales, book sales in the Library Shop, donations and memberships in the Friends of the Bloomfield Township Public Library.

Be sure to check out the Super Second Saturday Sales in the lower level. These sales are offered each month from 9:30am - 3:30pm. The first hour is open to Friends members only. Memberships are very affordable and available at the door on the day of the sale.

Volunteers are needed year-round to sort donated materials, assist at book sales, lend a hand at the Annual Meeting and support Library staff as needed.
