Special Programs |
LANGUAGE AND THE ARTS
Language, in its simplest forms, is the foundation of human communication. Visual art and music enhance our ability for this expression. Visual art can be as simple as a drawing of an arrow directing you to an exit. The music of mothers humming to infants and children singing instantly recognizable songs is integal to our humanity. Great poetry, music, art, and drama raise us to a higher level of expression, inspire us to expand our vision, and reflect on the joy and sadness in life. In many ways, these art forms define us as human. Join us at BTPL this fall as we explore the universality and beauties of language and the arts.
