Flu-Busters Flu Clinics by the Visiting Nurses Association

Oakland County Senior Prescription Savings Program

The prescription savings program is free to permanent Oakland County residents age 60 and over regardless of income, without other primary prescription coverage. (The program is $14 (or $20 per family) per year if under 60.) The program allows for savings on generic and brand name medications at a national network of participating independent and chain pharmacies. Seniors needing assistance preparing their tax returns can get help from the AARP's Tax Aide Program, which is also affiliated with the IRS' Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) program. Visit the nearest AARP Tax Aide site (Bloomfield Township Senior Services ) for free tax preparation assistance and free electronic filing. The program is staffed by volunteers between February 15 and April 15 each year.
